- Every Kiribi is hand assembled in Japan and inspired by history. Kenshi, meaning "sword wielder" in Japanese, combines Kiribi's signature angled, double soft flame and sophisticated Art Deco style with a sleeker, more compact design.
- Kiribi is designed for use with premium butane, not included. The flip top lighter is a single cap, fitted with a ribbed flint striker wheel. The flame is adjustable on the bottom, and the flints are replaceable, so your Kiribi can last for years to come.
- The soft flame butane lighter features a durable polymer spring hinge, an angled flame design, a single tank with high butane capacity, and sturdy construction comprised of brass, steel, and nickel.
- The origins of Kiribi lay in the traditional Japanese practice of casting sparks upon a beloved traveler’s back, in order to impart fortune and ward off evil, blessing them on their journey. The practice hearkens back to the famous 8th century legend of Prince Yamatotakeru, and the aunt who gifted him the firestone and striker which saved his life along perilous travels.
